At Marble.com, our stone is sourced from locations across the globe like: Italy, Brazil, and Spain. Marble.com also has several varieties of stone that are exclusive to us and cannot be found with any other countertop company the Tri-State area. Our natural stones are of the absolute highest quality, because we partner with and import directly from quarries all over the world, instead of buying second-hand, commercial-grade stone from domestic wholesalers. By focusing our efforts to acquire only the most attractive and durable natural stones Marble.com provides our customers with a unique advantage. Let’s talk about how our hands-on process helps us pass on affordable prices to our customers.

What is the Function of a Quarry?

Natural stones are formed miles underneath the Earth's surface. Granite for instance, is made from boiling molten rock that builds pressure and rises through the cracks in the Earth's surface. The magma eventually hardens and transforms into granite countertops as we know them. Once the marble, granite, quartzite or other natural stone is extracted from the mountain, the enormous blocks of stone are broken down into more manageable sizes. These pieces are then cut into slabs using a high-powered gangsaw. Water is used in combination with saws to prevent heating. After the slabs are cut, they are polished to enhance the natural beauty of the stone, as they begin to close resemble the finished product.

Countertops From the Best Quarries Around the Globe

Our excellent reputation and dedication to excellence has helped Marble.com to become the one of the biggest stone purchasers in America. Because of this, we are able to use our elite quality standards to pick only the best granite, marble, and other stones for our customers. We receive daily shipments of stone from the best quarries from around the globe. While today’s stone may come from Italy, tomorrow’s could be from Brazil, Spain, or any other quarry that has the greatest options at that time.

After our expert team determines which stones are fit for our standards, the slabs are carefully shipped to one of our six locations in the Tri-State area. The slabs are tightly packed the stone is. Natural stone needs to be carefully transported to avoid any potential damage over the long distance that it’s shipped. We take the utmost care to ensure that all of these stones are properly transported so they arrive safe and sound to our facility.
