cheryl: Let me understand this correctly. Your choice for the countertops is Butterfly and you're trying to find a different granite for the full backsplash? |

I have cherry stain on oak cabinetry, love butterfly green granite, live in the woods and have picket tiles on my floor in shades of golden tan. What granite can you recommend for full back splashes? |

Sarah: It's a possibility. You have to be careful with color schemes. |

What do you think about having different granite on the countertops and the island? |

patrick: Yes I think it will. You have to take under consideration size of the kitchen. Kitchen on this photograph wa extremely bright and open with high ceilings. the ownner felt that it didn't look cozy enough so he actually decided to go with dark colors brightened up a little bit by the floor and backsplash just to make the space more inviting. |

Bobbie:
They should. Granite can extend beyond the island without support only 12" If you plan on going with larger overhang you should think about some korbels or brackets to support it. |

From experience I found that Crema Bordaeux looks amazing with cherry cabinets and it also has silvery grey veins that would match the appliances. |

It's not a pea green, it's more of a dark/emerald/jade green. And yes, it will look good with your combination of cabinets and floor. |

I have light cabinets and light floors, would this green look good? Is it more like a Pea Green? Also what kind of tiles are on the back splash? Thanks |

Can you suggest a countertop that would look best with natural oak floors, cherry cabinets with a brown maple stain and stainless appliances. |

This is a rather large, open kitchen. The stone used is Seaweed Green and the edge is Cove Ogee. The color is rather toned down to let the cabinetry shine. Notice the range - there is a downdraft there that eliminates the need for a hood, keeping the overall look less cluttered. |
